Mission trip to Haiti
One of Ashley Graham's mission trips which changed the course of his life.  Ashley has now been called to Ministry and has been excepted for training.  We look forward to hearing his interpretation of the word of God

Haiti a tiny tropical island sits in the Caribbean, decorated with palm trees and colorful hibiscus flowers.  Its mountains stand majestically looking down upon sandy beaches and green valleys.  From afar it appears as any other island one might encounter sailing the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.  Yet, as we draw closer we notice a difference.  There are no tourist resorts dotting the coasts, no high rise hotels with sand volleyball courts and marimba bands.

This is Haiti, this is different.  If the land could speak it would tell of tragedy and violence, of abuse and bloodshed, of power and greed.  Why does the country stand apart from its neighbors?  The answer lies in the turbulent history of this tiny nation.

Ashley Graham went on several mission trips, this is only one of them.  He worked  at a medical clinic that is run by OMS international.  The doctor at the clinic was Gavin Mclintock from Bangor.  Ashley was training some of the nurses and workers in simple physiotherapy techniques and excercise programmes as there is no therapist in this region, and there are many people who need rehabilitation.

Ashley stated that the country was officially dedicated to satan 200 years ago by the authorities and voodo is the major religious influnence.  At night you can hear the voodo drums over the walls of the compound (very scary stuff), he would ask for prayers for the people of Haiti and for all full time missionaries, that God would equip them and sustain them.

Following on from these very touching missionary trips, Ashley has been called to ministry and has been excepted for ministry training.
