MOPS is a haven for busy mums.  MOPS began in 1973 when a small group of mums met in a local church near Denver to share their common needs.  Today around 2500 groups meet throughout the world, reaching more than 100,000 women and their families, providing a caring, accepting atmosphere for today's mother to grow and share their experiences with other women.

Here is what some MOPS have to say.........

"What MOPS has provided for me... is a welcome break; a chance to make new friends, the opportunity to know l'm not the only mum that goes through the daily struggles and joys of raising young children...."

"I want to thank MOPS for changing a scared, new mother into a confident mother, wife and friend."

"Where else can you go to be with other mums, eat, do craft, be encouraged and receive childcare, and oh yes, we also talk about God."

We launched our own MOPS group in January 2003.
In (2004/05), 72 mums registered at our MOPS Group.
A typical MOPS morning begins at 9.30am.  Once mums have registered their babies and pre-schoolers into our crèche or MOPPETS programme, they come together to enjoy a relaxed and peaceful breakfast.  Mums go to the same group each morning so that friendships can be formed and grow throughout the year.
At 10.15am the main programme for the morning starts.  Sometimes we have a craft morning or else a teaching morning with discussion groups where we look at issues related to parenting or being a woman.  Often we follow a MOPS cirriculum (produced by MOPS International eg.  What Every Child Needs or Five Star Families).
