Lord Jesus Christ,
I confess l have not lived for you as my rightful God and King.
I have rejected you and so deserve your judgement.
And yet you came to die for me, to save me from my sins.
I now turn to you.
Please forgive me all that is past and come into my life to change me, so that l may live for you from this day on.      Amen.

What is Prayer?

Prayer is often just words unspoken
Whispered in tears by a heart that is broken.....
For God is already deeply aware
Of the burdens we find too heavy to bear,
And all we need do is to seek Him in prayer
And without a word He will help us to bear
Our trials and trouble-our sickness and sorrow
And show us the way to a brighter tomorrow.....
There's no need at all for impressive prayer
For the minute we seek God He is already there!

Are you ready to receive
God's offer of Eternal Life and Hope?

Dear God, l know that Jesus is Your Son and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead.  Because l have sinned and need forgiveness, l ask Jesus to come into my heart.  I am willing to change the direction of my life by acknowledging Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and by turning away from my sins.  Thank You for giving me forgiveness, eternal life, and hope.   In Jesus name, amen.
You can trust God's promise.
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"
(Romans 10:13).

Niger

Please pray for the people of   Niger,    Right  now  in Niger,    West   Africa,   an estimated          3.6 million people are in critical need of      food,     including 800,000 children under the age of five who are at risk    of     starvation. Drought     and      locust swarms devastated crops throughout the country. Niger  is  one  of  the  poorest  countries  in  the  world, ranking  176  out  of  177  nations  listed in the UNDP's 2004  Human  Development  Reports.   Every  year an estimated    166,000    children    in    Niger    die    from preventable  diseases  and  almost  70  percent  of   the country's  12  million  people  do  not   have   access   to health services.

The Children of Brazil

Children of BrazilBrazil

Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world with a population of approximately 166 million people.  The disparity between the rich and the poor is one of the largest.  The richest 1% of Brazil's population control 50% of its income.  The poorest 50% of society have to live on just 10% of the country's wealth.
The children of Brazil are some of the most deprived in all of the world.  Many millions of children are living in what the United Nations call "extreme poverty" Profound poverty means family disintegration, violence and break-up become more prevalent as a result.  More children leave home either to escape neglect or violence or because their families are no longer able to feed them.  Street Children are not unique to Brazil.  Brazil stands out though because most of its estimated 200000 to 8 million Street Children expect to be killed before they are 18 years old - mainly the targets of death squads or drug gangs.
  (Please pray for these Children that they may be saved from this terrible life.)

Ask God to examine your heart to reveal areas that are not pleasing to Him.  "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting"
(Psalm 139 v23 24).

  Prayer

     Psalm 62     1.  My soul finds rest in God alone;
      v1-2                 my salvation comes from him.
                           2.  He alone is my rock and my salvation;
                               he is my fortress, l shall never be
                               shaken.
